As part of our adoption training we were required to look for books for both our own children and our soon-to-be child. These are many of the books that we found plus many that were recommended to us by our social worker.

If you are looking for books to share with your children to facilitate conversations around adoption or foster care, check these out
1. The Thinking Turtle: A sketchbook, coloring book, and journal.

Right off the bat, you are thinking: “wait, this isn’t a book.” You are right, but it is as important to talk to your child about adoption as it is to listen to their thoughts.
